The Wood County Commission and the Parkersburg & Wood County Public Library are excited to sponsor the Fall 2021 History Scavenger Hunt.
Allow the walls of the Wood County Courthouse to tell you its story. What happened in 1939 at the Wood County Courthouse that shook the very core of the county? What is the significance of the various carvings in the structure of the building? You’ll be astounded at what the walls will tell you!
Thursday and Friday, October 7 – 8, 14 – 15, and 21 – 22
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Wood County Courthouse, 1 Court Square, Parkersburg
Register at the main entrance (Fountain Side) and pick-up your scavenger hunt instructions. There are eleven (11) relics to hunt and should take 30 to 45 minutes.
