February 2011’s Author of the Month – Orson Scott Card

Posted on February 11, 2011 By Director No Comments on February 2011’s Author of the Month – Orson Scott Card

Best known for his Science Fiction Novels, Card has written many other forms and genres that appeal to audiences from teens to adults (kind of the Jack of all trades in the writers world). Card is known for his engrossing and moral stories and provocative view of a world in which individuals can make a difference. His stories feature familiar themes–family, duty, and sacrifice–and the battle between good and evil is frequently explored.

In 1978 he won the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer from the World Science Fiction Convention. He has wrote screenplays for animated children’s videos, written poetry, directed and ventured into writing illustrated novels in the comic series Ultimate Iron Man for Marvel.
