For the safety of our patrons and staff, we’re changing the amount of days that we quarantine some categories of books to ensure that there is no detectable COVID-19 virus on them. A recent study indicates that books with glossy pages and board books could retain the virus up to four days.
Please continue to return your items to the outdoor bookdrops. After quarantine, all items will be sanitized before circulation.
Don’t worry if you receive an overdue notice for materials you have already returned to the library. During our check-in process, once they come out of quarantine, we backdate to the day they were returned to the library.
As always, please contact us at 304 – 420 – 4587 if you have any questions or concerns.
