WV-READS

 

WV-READS has EBooks and EAudiobooks available to check out.



  • If you don’t have a library card, we now have digital only card signup for WVREADS (eBooks and Audiobooks). Simply go to https://wvreads.overdrive.com/ and you will be given the option to sign up for an instant digital card. This is only for Wood County addresses.


  • If you already have a library card, you can login using your library card number and PIN number from the library catalog. If you don’t have a pin number, you can learn how here


  • If you receive a message that your card has expired, please call the library to get that resolved. Due to the WV Stay-at-Home order, all library cards have been extended for 6 months.


  • Check out the Getting Started section here. It will take you through the steps of downloading the software, checking out, placing holds/adding to a waiting list, and much more.


This service is available for a wide variety of media including e-readers (such as Kindle and Nook), tablets (such as iPads and Kindle Fires), smart phones (such as iPhones and Android phones), and music players (such as iPods and MP3 players).

To access and read on your computer, visit WV-READS. You can read e-books or listen to audiobooks in your web browser.

To access and read on your tablet or phone,  download the OverDrive or Libby app from your app store.

If you’re a middle school student in Wood County, download the Sora app from your app store. You’ll use your school ID to sign-in.

With the Libby app, you can sync between your devices using a setup code that links your library card number. Simply hold the Libby icon in the top right corner to generate the code, then copy it to your other devices.
